The Silva house system consists of a stereo system (house left, house right), and a mono central cluster. All components are behind the acoustically transparent proscenium arch. The left, right & cluster mix are separate feeds at the house console.
Maximum sound pressure allowable in Silva Hall (at house mix...100 ' from stage apron) is 97 DB (A), for periods not to exceed 4 seconds. The system will produce peaks of up to 110 db. Total power available (r.m.s.) is approximately 36,000 watts. The majority of the speaker components are JBL. The system is 2-way, with optional use of the sub-low system to extend operation to 3-way. Frequency response (at house mix location) is approximately 20 hz to 17 khz, with the sub-lows in operation.
House consoles:
The Silva hall monitor system is capable of up to a 4-way mix. Please contact technical services staff if a monitor console will be needed for your event.
Loading dock located in alley up stage right at stage level. Push is 75’ to center line. A 12’ x 24’ concrete pad can accommodate 2 trucks at a time. Roll up door is 12’w x 16’6"h. There is a freight elevator adjacent to the dock for FOH, costumes, production and merchandise.

Stage floor is sprung wood surface.
Main Company Switch is stage left and is a 200A 3ph, 5 wire disconnect. This switch cannot be used if the house sound system is in operation
SPL Limit: Maximum allowable sound pressure in Soreng Hall is 105db for no more than 4 seconds.

Total accommodations for approximately 30 people. Two chorus dressing rooms downstairs complete with lights, mirrors, chairs, and sinks for about 10 people each. Mens and Womens rest rooms with showers are across the hallway. 1 dressing room backstage with lights, mirrors, chairs, sofas, restroom.
The stage deck is 4' off the ground, 56' wide by 36' deep, with sound wings 12' wide by 16' deep stage right, and 12' wide by 14' deep stage left. A loading dock 20' wide by 16' deep allows two tractor trailers to be unloaded, at the same time, upstage left. The stage is constructed of a Staging Concepts SC9600 support structure with SC90 decking, capable of a live load capacity of 155 pounds per square foot.
The curved enclosure, over the stage, reaches a height of approximately 40' at the center, and the I-beams decrease in height the further off stage they are. Seven I-beams run upstage/downstage on 10' centers. The center @ beam is 9" stage right of the center line. Their measurements from the stage deck are:

The maximum allowable weight per point is 2,000 lbs., with a minimum spacing of 5'. The maximum allowable weight per beam is 6,000 lbs. The amphitheater roof is capable of a total maximum load of 20,000 lbs. No bridles are allowed. A rigging diagram of the amphitheater is available upon request.
