2009 Oregon Bach Festival Tickets
The Oregon Bach Festival (OBF) was cofounded by German organist and conductor Helmuth Rilling (current Artistic Director) and Royce Saltzman of Eugene in the early 1970's. The festival's original home was Beall Concert Hall on the University of Oregon campus, until the Hult Center for the Performing Arts was built in 1982. The magnificent 2,500-seat Silva Concert Hall and first-rate facilities at the Hult Center have enabled OBF to expand and attract performers of the highest caliber. As a Resident Company of the Hult Center, the Festival's concentration of major choral-orchestral works, educational offerings, and family atmosphere have attracted an annual audience of more than 32,000. Visitors from every state and dozens of foreign countries have been welcomed to the Pacific Northwest to enjoy the music that continues to be inspired by a 300-year old tradition. While the Festival looks beyond, welcoming challenges of taking its destiny--and Bach's--into the new millennium.
